The Role of Sous Chef - Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for developing and leading the Kitchen Team who service the stylish and bespoke Marcel Bar & Bistro, Lobby Bar and In room Dining.
- You will be a part of an authentically guest-centric, professional, innovative and flexible team where service is a passion rather than a job.
- Marcel Bar & Bistro will change the perception of food and beverage in the Greater Western Sydney region by providing exquisite and vibrant dishes that push boundaries and elevate the dining experience to new heights of gastronomic delight.
- Success in this role will be underpinned by creativity, consistency of delivery, food safety compliance and a strong team culture focused on development.
About You - Proven ability to lead and manage a large, diverse kitchen team, operating in a high-volume, fast paced environment
- Menu Engineering, Creativity, Financial Acumen, Culinary Knowledge and Food Safety Compliance experience are essential.
- Premium dining experience is advantageous, but not a necessity
- Experience leading a team with a strong focus on engagement and development
- A positive, professional attitude with strong personal qualities, excellent attention to detail, effective communication skills and natural leadership ability
- 2-3 years' experience in a Sous Chef role or similar senior kitchen position
- Recognised chef qualifications, with a relevant culinary certification is essential
