The Panthers Group and Pullman Sydney Penrith have an exciting opportunity for a talented and committed Commis Chef to join the innovative kitchen team at Marcel Bar & Bistro!

The Role of Commis Chef

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the breakfast kitchen, ensuring efficient and high quality service
  • Assist with food preparation for breakfast service and the Tori Bar & Café lunch offering
  • Prepare ingredients and dishes in line with menu specifications and kitchen standards
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with food safety regulations
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver a seamless service
  • Success in this role will be underpinned by creativity, a passion for food, consistent delivery of high-quality dishes, strong food safety and hygiene practices, and a positive team culture focused on learning and development

About You 

  • 2-3 years’ experience as a Chef in a busy kitchen environment;
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Passion for the hospitality industry with great attention to detail 
  • Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, and work independently
  • A reliable team player with a positive attitude 
  • Experience in premium dining is advantageous, but not essential
