Port Macquarie Panthers has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and versatile Supervisor to join their busy Meeting and Events Operations team. About the Role … Reporting into the Events & Entertainment Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering a wide range of functions—from corporate meetings and conferences to large-scale social events. You will adapt to a variety of settings whist always maintaining high standards of quick and efficient service within the team. With a sharp eye for detail, you will ensure customers are impressed by the impeccable presentation of our venue and ensure an overall positive experience for all guests. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading teams, managing multiple moving parts, and being at the centre of the action. A respected leader within the team, you will inspire those around you with your ability to always make customers your number one priority. Your main duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to: - Coordinate and oversee events from set-up through to pack-down
- Lead and support staff during service to ensure smooth event delivery
- Act as the key on-the-day contact for clients and guests
- Ensure all functions run to schedule and exceed expectations
- Maintain high presentation standards across all event spaces
- Manage staffing levels, team performance and shift coordination
- Handle guest enquiries, feedback and issue resolution with confidence
- Complete shift reports and operational documentation accurately
- Maintain WHS compliance and safe work practices
- Support stock control and operational efficiency
About you … A quick thinker, you will feel comfortable handling difficult situations and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once. You will take pride in your appearance, your workplace and your team. You will need to be available to work as required on a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays. To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following: - At least 1 year experience in a supervisory role in a food and beverage environment;
- Exceptional customer service skills and strong leadership qualities;
- RSA and RCG certificates;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Fantastic conflict resolution and problem solving skills and;
- First Aid certification would be advantageous.
