Panthers Bathurst has an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Commis Chef who is looking to step up and join their busy and friendly kitchen team. Panthers Bathurst are looking for an experienced, vibrant and passion Commis Chef to join our dedicated kitchen team who prides themselves on presenting quality food to our customers and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Reporting to the Head Chef and General Manager you will ensure a high-quality service and food every time to our members and guests. . Key Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to: - Food preparation, presentation and service;
- Assist senior chefs with daily kitchen preparations;
- Assist in catering for functions and various events;
- Cooking using grills and fryers;
- Stock management;
- Cleaning the kitchen area and ensuring that the kitchen is well presented;
- Stock checking, accepting food deliveries and ensuring the safe storage of products and;
- Completing daily cleaning checklists to ensure a safe and hygienic workplace.
To be successful in this role, you will have: - At least 2 years’ experience in a busy kitchen in a Chef role;
- Relevant trade qualifications including Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery and/or Food Safety Supervisor Certificate;
- High customer service skills and have a strong commitment to your trade, customers and team;
- High attention to detail and have the ability to work under pressure;
- Fantastic communication skills;
- Ability to cope with stressful situations and strong problem solving skills
