Carpenter / Maintenance All Rounder
Full-Time Permanent

Panthers Penrith are seeking motivated and hardworking Carpenter / Maintenance All Rounder to join their dedicated and busy Maintenance Team.

 

The Maintenance team have a rare vacancy for an experienced carpenter or handyman to join their motivated maintenance team. Working within a small team, you will be responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of the club and you will partake in a variety of handyman activities within the club. You will enjoy being part of a supportive team that is constantly looking for opportunities to improve and take great satisfaction in a job well done.

 

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Carpentry/Construction duties for minor club projects;
  • General repairs on facilities, plant and equipment;
  • General maintenance and upkeep of the club;
  • Complying with all WH&S policies and regulations;
  • Identifying areas of improvement to find cost-effective solutions and;
  • Meeting appropriate deadlines and schedules.

 

To be successful in this role, you are required to have:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role;
  • A current NSW 1A driving licence;
  • Carpentry trade qualifications an advantage but not required;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • A strong work ethic, works well in a team environment and is conscientious of others;
  • Strong commitment and passion to developing your skills within the maintenance industry;
  • A good level of physical fitness and;
  • High attention to detail.

 

You will have the ability to work under pressure and take satisfaction in a job well done in contributing to ensuring the club is well presented and safe for our members, guests and staff. You must be available to work on a rotating 4 week on-call roster and be able to attend to site 24/7 during rostered week for emergency calls. You may also be required to work at our other Western Sydney Panthers sites periodically.
