Being in the hospitality industry, our workforce is varied and you will find yourself working with employees from a variety of professions. Based at our corporate office located in Penrith, this role reports directly to our Group Human Resources Manager. Your Primary Duties and Responsibilities will include but not limited to: - Lead end-to-end management of workplace and non-work-related injuries, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely reporting
- Manage incidents, workers compensation, illness, and public liability claims within the injury management system
- Ensure all compensation payments, reimbursements and reconciliations are accurate, compliant and processed within required timeframes
- Drive early intervention strategies to reduce claim duration, costs, and business disruption
- Oversee complex and high-risk cases, including return-to-work planning and stakeholder case conferences
- Provide expert advice and support to managers and employees on injury management and claims processes
- Analyse claims trends and costs to inform premium strategy, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement
- Lead and contribute to Health & Safety Committee initiatives, driving a strong safety culture across the Group
- Conduct incident investigations and support risk assessments to identify hazards and improve workplace safety
- Deliver safety, wellbeing, and injury management training while equipping leaders with tools to maintain safe work practices
Key Selection Criteria: - At least 3-4 years’ experience in a similar injury management orientated role.
- A strong understanding and working knowledge of current Workers Compensation legislation, WHS legislation and return to work frameworks
- The proven ability to introduce and maintain effective WC, WHS and RTW policies, procedures and strategies.
- A positive, assertive and compassionate approach as you focus on rehabilitating injured employees.
- Great communication skills and attention to detail;
- Strong organisational and administrative skills;
- Intermediate computer skills, proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and thorough administration practices.
- Return to Work certification.
- Tertiary education in Injury Management or WHS is preferred.
- Experience with Solvinjury is desirable
