Put Your Eye for Detail at the Centre of Safety Penrith Panthers has an exciting opportunity for a Surveillance Operator to join our team. Bring your strong observational skills, sound judgement and ability to remain calm under pressure to a role where every detail matters. Eight weeks of comprehensive paid training will be provided to prepare you for success. About the Opportunity As a Surveillance Operator, you will play an important role in protecting our employees, members, guests and property by monitoring more than 450 CCTV cameras and identifying potential safety, security and compliance concerns. You will join a close-knit team while also working independently for extended periods, maintaining focus, accuracy and sound judgement at all times. Experience in surveillance, security or a related environment will be highly regarded. What you will be doing: - Monitor live CCTV footage through the Avigilon system
- Review incidents and conduct investigations using CCTV footage and available reporting systems
- Respond to and action CCTV requests from NSW Police
- Back up and securely manage Body-Worn Camera footage
- Operate as a central command point and communicate with departments via two-way radio
- Monitor and respond to alarms through the Gallagher security system
- Liaise and work closely with emergency services
- Operate the Emergency Warning and Intercommunication System (EWIS) panel and support fire-response procedures
- Export and interpret gaming meter reports
- Investigate and analyse transactions, behaviours and system-generated alerts for indicators of potential money laundering or terrorism financing
- Complete data entry, reports and administrative tasks with a high level of accuracy
- Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Comply with Group policies, procedures and relevant legislative requirements
About you You are observant, dependable and able to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment. You demonstrate integrity, discretion and respect for people and property, with the confidence to respond appropriately as situations evolve. You are available to work across a variety of shift including days, nights, and weekends. You will also bring: - A current NSW Security Industry Licence – Class 1A and/or 1E
- Current RSA and RCG competency cards
- A current First Aid Certificate
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Sound judgement and a responsible approach to sensitive situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and touch-typing skills
- Confidence using technology and the ability to quickly learn new systems and technical equipment
- Strong investigation, analysis and problem-solving skills
- The ability to interpret complex information and data
- A sound understanding of the AML/CTF Act and its practical application
- Experience preparing analytical intelligence reports and presenting findings to relevant stakeholders
- The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
- A strong commitment to confidentiality, accuracy and compliance
