About the Role As our Assistant Front Office Manager, you will play a key role in leading the Front Office team and supporting the day-to-day operations of the department. Working closely with the Front Office Manager, you will help drive operational excellence, deliver exceptional guest experiences and lead the team to provide outstanding service at every stage of the guest journey. Key Responsibilities - Lead, motivate, and support the Front Office team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment
- Oversee daily operational movements, including arrivals, departures, room allocations and guest requests
- Act as the first point of escalation for guest concerns, handling and resolving complaints professionally to achieve positive outcomes
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently delivered in line with brand expectations
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance and other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations
- Assist with rostering, shift coordination and team performance to meet operational requirements
- Monitor compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards
- Maintain accurate records and reports while ensuring a high level of attention to detail
- Support the Front Office Manager in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Oversee and assist with operations within the Western Sydney Convention Centre as required, ensuring a seamless and consistent guest experience across both venues
About You - Previous experience as a Duty Manager (minimum 1-2 years preferred) or Assistant Front Office Manager within a hotel environment
- Proven experience in a Front Office leadership role, with the ability to lead, coach and motivate a high-performing team
- Previous experience using Opera PMS
- Exceptional customer service skills and a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationship with guests, colleagues and stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive hands on approach and a positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
- Possess current First Aid and CPR certifications
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays and evening shifts as required
